With all the risks of skin cancer that we are aware of today, I’m at a loss as to why anyone would want to sit in the direct sun for any length of time. There are plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors without risking your life.

The one thing you need to understand though is ‘Succot’ which is a religious holiday and sitting
in the Sukkah is mandatory for Jews and there should be no hazards as there is always a covering
on the top which is the ‘Schach’.
